Introducing REEL KIDS!!!!!Reelfoot Bank is proud to introduce to you ReelKids! Reel Kids is designed to help children learn the value, history and benefits of saving money. We here at Reelfoot Bank want to help educate our youth on the benefits of money in order to provide a better economic future for our local area as well as our country. We feel it is important to help educate our youth as they are our future and if they learn at an early age they will continue those good financial habits throughout their life. ReelKids offers rewards for good grades as well as smart choices made at school. ReelKids account holders will receive the benefit of up to $20.00 in deposits or gifts equivalent to $20.00 in value between August 1st and the following July 31st of each year based on the number of “A’s” received in core subject, which are defined as English, Math, Science, Social Studies, or selective student achievements or community volunteer hours (as not required by a court of law). Each “A”, student achievement, or community volunteer experience is worth $1.00. Only $5.00 can be earned at a time. In the event that a student receives “A’s” in all five core subjects during a 9 week period, they are eligible to request one movie ticket instead of $5.00 in deposits. These gifts will be given when the account holders bring in verification that the requirements have been met. Also, we are partnering with local schools to recognize a Health and Wellness Student each 9 weeks. At the end of each 9 week period a student from each school will be chosen by their Physical Education Teacher. The student will be recognized at a home sport event and be presented with a gift certificate to various local activity centers, or tickets to a local sporting event. Recognition will also be in the local papers and on Reelfoot Bank’s website and ReelKids newsletter. We hope that by getting our children involved and participating in our program, we will help them grow up to become well educated both financially and physically! |
